Update your address in Aadhaar card using mobile app.
Aiming to reach out to a large number of smartphone users, the Unique Identification Authority of India has launched the new m-Aadhaar. The app has a range of Aadhaar services and a personal section for the Aadhaar holder to carry their Aadhaar information in soft copy form, instead of always carrying a physical copy.
Top features of the official app
Multilingual:
To ensure that Aa dhaar services are accessible to the linguistically diverse residents of India, menus, button labels and form fields are available in English as well as in 12 Indian languages (Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu).
However, the input fields in the form will only accept data entered in the English language. This is done to avoid the user facing challenges of typing in regional languages (due to limitations in mobile keyboards).
Universality:
Residents with or without A adhaar can install this app on their smart phones. However, a resident has to register their A adhaar profile in the app to avail personalized A adhaar services.
Functionality is broadly grouped as main service dashboard: Direct access to A adhaar Download, Reprint Order, Address Update, Offline EKYC Download, Show or Scan QR Code, Verify A adhaar, Verify Mail/Email, UID/EID Retrieve, Address Validation Request Letter Request Status Services : My Aadhaar to help the resident to check the status of various online requests: This is a personal section for the A adhaar holder where residents do not have to enter their A adhaar number to avail A adhaar services.

Apart from this, this department also provides facilities to residents to lock/unlock their A adhaar or biometric authentication.
A adhaar Locking:
An Aadhaar holder can lock their UID/Aadhaar number whenever they want.
Biometric Locking/Unlocking Secures biometric authentication by locking biometrics data. Once a resident enables the biometric locking system, their biometric remains locked until the A adhaar holder chooses to do so (which is temporary) or disable the locking system.
TOTP Generation:
A time-based one-time password is an automatically generated temporary password that can be used instead of an SMS-based OTP.

Sharing of QR code and EKYC data by A adhaar number holder Aadhaar helps users share their password-protected EKYC or QR code for secure and paperless verification.
Multi-Profile:
An Aa dhaar holder can add multiple (up to 3) profiles (with the same registered mobile number) in their profile section.
A adhaar services over SMS ensures the benefit of Aa dhaar services even when the Aa dhaar holder is not a network holder. This requires SMS permission.
